Kauri Cliffs Golf Course 25 minutes along a scenic coastal road to the prestigious Kauri Cliffs Golf Course.

Matauri Bay
20 minutes to Matauri Bay beachfront. Walk to the top of the hill to the Rainbow Warrior memorial.

30 minutes north to the Famous Mangonui Fish Shop in the quaint settlement of Mangonui. Browse around the gift shops of this historic fishing village. Picnic on the beach at Coopers Beach overlooking Doubtless Bay.

Bay of Islands
45 minutes to Paihia - take the ferry across to historic Russell and visit the local pubs and shops. Take a day cruise from Paihia to the famous 'Hole in the Rock' or try one of the many adventure sports on offer.

90 Mile Beach
Take a day trip to 90 mile beach and visit Cape Reinga and witness the turbulent meeting of the calm blue Pacific Ocean and the tempestuous green Tasman Sea. Boogie board down huge sand dunes on the way.

Puketi Forest
40 minutes to view the mighty Kauri trees in Puketi Forest along an easy boardwalk. Longer guided walks through the forest are also available.

Cavalli Islands Diving
Dive the Greenpeace flagship the 'Rainbow Warrior' sunk out at the Cavalli Islands - a world class dive spot. Dive trips leave from Paihia (45 mins from Coastal Chalet) and locally at Whangaroa Harbour (5 mins from Coastal Chalet).

30 minutes to Kerikeri Township and the historic Stone Store and Kemp House. Spend a day visiting the art galleries, craft shops and perhaps have a leisurely lunch at one of the award-winning wineries or cafes.
